Hi guys my 2007 500 efi starts and runs fine if left in overnight (heated) If i take it out to plow snow it runs fine. But if I shut it down and leave it out for 2-3 hrs. I have to stay on throttle to keep it running and it surges and stalls. I checked the cable slack and its good. Thinking frost on a sensor or fuel pump (doesnt sound as loud as when warm) Any thoughts apreciated as its icefishing weather and I dont want to walk.

Ohm test your air temp sensor located in the air box. This senses air temp and adjusts air fuel ratio when cold. Mine acted up a couple time last month and idled rough at start up. Not sure what the problem was but it straightened itself out and working fine again. Diagnostic codes said the sensor was throwing to high/low of voltage. Should read 2.45 ohms +-.36 at room temp, about 68 degrees f. I wish I knew what the problem was with mine, all I know is I pulled it out tested and cleaned the contacts really well and reapplied dielectric grease and now it seems fine? Gotta love modern technology???
