removing starter...trailblazer 250?
I have a 2001 Trailblazer 250 we just got. I checked everything out and the Starter is shot. I'm trying to get the damn thing out. I have the whole bike standing nose straight up in the air. That appeared to be the easiest way to take that bottom plate off the frame, and the only way to gain access to the starter. Now, I Do have a repair manual for this, but it covers so many years it does not go into great detail on each model. It shows me the mounting bolts, but in the pic they have, its looks like the engine is out of the frame. In reality the rear of the starter is very tight up against the rear of the PVT case.
Does anyone know if I'm gonna have to take off the PVT front case, remove the Clutches, then remove the rear of the PVT case just to get this damn starter out? Help! any advice??

If its anything like the 250 trail bosses then yes you will have to take the clutches and clutch covers off, you will also have to take the recoil and stator housing off as well because there are hidden bolts in there that need undoing. if you don`t undo them and try to pry the starter out you will brake the engine case and then your f--ked.
