I bought a 2006 polaris sportsman 450 and it didnt have a carb and no hoses on the fuel pump. I bought a carb and hoses and not real sure where the hoses go it runs but will flud out after a few minutes and the little hose on the bottom of the carb will leak fuel. I wasnt sure if they are hooked up right I noticed there was some little plastic things that looked like filters on some of the hoses. Ive seen some hoses on ebay on some fuel pumps off of some polaris's with these filter looking things on them just not sure if my hoses are on right or if the filter things are missing that is letting fuel leak into the top of the carb. Please help if you can thanks

 

not sure w/ out seeing but you should have at least a in from the tank line and a out to the carb line and a vacuum line to the engine to the fuel pump. not sure if you have a return line to the tank or not. did you make sure to check the carb float level setting when you installed the carb? it may be set wrong causing gas to flood the engine and come out the over flow on the carb. also those white things are check valves that go onthe end of the lines hanging form tyhe carb i do beleave. imo

 

If the little hose on the bottom leaks fuel the float level switch is not shuttting the gas off when the carb bowl is full........And yes the little white things that look like filters are valves so when under water it will not take any in .........It just let fuel out like you said.............Caper.........
Why was the carb missing?
Let us know what you find after you adjust you float switch in the carb .......
