Default Master Cylinder

So...I have always seen the master cylinder mounted on the handle bars. As we all have. But, Can the master cylinder be the same height as the calipers? I have a custom build going and the MC needs to be down low since this is a buggy project using an old polaris trailblazer. Right now the MC is down low, and i am having a hard time getting the brakes to bleed. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated...I am on a 24 hour time crunch here also.

Thanks,

You can try to use a new type of bleeder system I seen out there that pushes the fluid back from the brakes to the master Cylinder(To remove the air).....Instead of putting fluid in the top and taking air out from the bleeder valve...........Never did use on yet...........Caper.......

I thought about that. I have several of them at the maintenance shop that i work at. It works great for the Military trucks but was not sure about the atv aspect. Maybe i will give it a try. The only other concern is the height of the MC

once the air is out of the system and it's the same height it should work(IMO) but as the pads wear the fluid may need to be a bit higher to allow the pressure maintained at the caliper and not drain back to leave any slack or take-up there when applied...............Good Question though ....Never did see it done,Let me know if it wrks or someone else may already tried it and let you know........Caper........

Bleed the MC by itself before attempting to bleed the lines. I explained the steps before on here, do a search on the messages on my handle. If the MC is not bled, you will never succeed.
