i also have a 2008 sp 400 ho,the problem on mine is that the rotor and brake pads are mounted on the front instead of the rear like all other polaris's i've seen and all other 4-wheelers for that matter,i don't know why yours isn't like mine, but there is no where to bolt them, there isn't any pre drilled holes to bolt them to the a arms, and even if there was they wouldn't fit because of the rotor and brake pad location, did your 2008 already have pre drilled holes to bolt them to,and is your rotors in the front or in the rear, every one that i have saw have been in the front.........

The shields are side specific with the small part of the shield going to the outside. Check on the backside of the front pipe on the front control. When I did it by feel, I found 1 predrilled hole. It has held solid for me for 3 yrs so far.

i had a set of aftermarket stickstoppers off my sp 450 and just cut out knotches so they would clear when turning. don't like the cheap plastic ones but they are better then nothing.

Are the Sportsman 400H.O not just a 300 Hawkeye chassis with a larger 455 motor and wheels?

They seem to have the same dimensions and suspension.
