Valve cover gasket...

Those breather covers are plastic and warp/do not seal well. I made a gasket for mine on my 05 800 years back and worked fine after that. Otherwise there are some nice aluminum ones on ebay.

Yep, that's what you need with a light bead of hi-temp RTV around the edge

Well it's been a while but I finally got around to ordering my new breather...I got one of those billet aluminum ones off ebay...My question is should I reuse the rubber gasket or go with the RTV gasket maker?

How about a good RTV sealant as mentioned! That's what we used (WURTH rtv sealant) or you could use the gasket and still use a small bead of sealant. OPT

Well I replaced the breather with a billet breather last year...The problem is I still have a slight oil leak which burns on the header...Just can't seem to find where it's originating from...I guess I gotta take some of the front off to get a better look...Any thoughts?

did you replace that hose that goes from the airbox to breather? that would be my next step
