I have a 98 SP500 and I do alot of riding on gravel, farmland, and mud. I'm looking for a tire that will do well on these surfaces but still has good mud/snow characteristics. My buddy has a set of Maxxis Sur-Tracs on his 400ex and they tear it up pretty good. I'm looking at either that tire or getting some 589's. Has anyone tried these Maxxis Sur-Tracs?

We have Sur Traks on our Recon. They work much better than the stock tires. They are light weight & good for smaller displacement engines. The Sure Traks are only 2 ply, we haven't had any flats yet.

I would suggest the 589's these tires are sweet & have better traction & very good i the mud. I am getting a set for my Rancher.
