Cool Secondary settings

Got a 02 scrambler 400, my sig is accurate, has aaen green primary spring, blue secondary, I'm venturing into fine tuning,
Questions: secondary is set at 2:2
From what I have read 1:1 is for more topend, and 2:3 is for more low end

I'm gonna try 1:1 tom, if I don't like it what's a good way to find what's best? And would it matter what hole u changed up, like the helix hole at 1 and the base at 2?

Also un related carb question, when adjust needle position what way is richen and to lean?

Thanks in advance u guys

kinda depends on whatn elevation your at, at 5000 ft in wyoming I set stock secondary clutchesin hole 1 on the sheaves and hole 2 on the helix, have tried other settings but this one works best here

update: so after some research on how to preload the dam spring, i tried out 1:1, lost top end with this option and didnt notice anything else other then the loss, topped at 103 km/h without winding it right out

tried the 2:3 setting, i liked this one, seemed to accelerate harder and faster.... topped at 113km/h or 70mph

tried the 2:2, this is what it was on before seemed very peppy but not a whole lot on top, this put me back to my 107 aka 67mph, while i had the clutch apart i put in new buttons, and actually switched housings and helixs with a secondary from another scrambler clutch, my helix was very worn,

QUESTION: will running it at 2:3 have any negative effects? i tried it on steep hills and seemed as good as before, can power all 4 wheels mad spin from a stop. MY altitude is approx 250-1000ft
