Default What's the general consensus on Maxxis BigHorn 2.0 tires

I replaced a set of 27" Mud Lites with a new set of 26" BigHorn 2.0's

during the process of taking off the ITP Mud Lights from the rims, and putting on the BigHorn 2.0's i'm wondering if i made a bad choice in tires as the sidewalls feel pretty thin. I got the tires because i heard good things about them, mostly that they look good, but i'm starting to think i need to hear from the guys in the forum as to if these are a solid tire with a good track record. They really feel like a bad Chinese knock off of a good looking tire.

i bought them from ATV Outfitters which is reputable.

Thanks,
Eric In CT.

The Bighorns and 2.0's are both great tires, don't worry, Ride and enjoy.

The 2.0's are a lighter tire, if you need to save the weight that's what they do, but they do it the way you noticed...thinner sidewalls, less rubber. I would stay with the original BigHorns unless you race. JMHO

Good, long lasting, reliable tire from what I hear. I prefer a more aggressive tire myself but have seen plenty of threads on them and haven't heard any complaints.

I personally dont like'em.

the rubber is too soft and too bouncy IMO.

I'd much rather have the ML's...
