I was gone out of town for about 4 days for exstensive training in the ATV safety course.I learned a WHOLE lot about the safety aspect of the course and how to PROPERLY administer it.We ICs [7 instructor candidates] were tested in range skills,a knowledge test, and actually administering the course to real riders.Im happy to say that I did pass and am now looking forward to further the safety and responsable use of ATVs to current and future ATV riders.

It was a very nerving 4 days.Except for today, typical classes ran from 8am-5:30pm Thur,Fri,Sat.We were schuduled to instruct the safety course to 7 students this morning, however, only 5 students showed,so we got done around 1pm.

Im glad to be home,
Bill

Good job Bill! Hopefully you can educate the youth about how to safely operate an ATV so our great sport can continue. Again, good job!

Did they teach you anything about wheelies or stoppies at that course?

Yamabike,
wheelies is not a ''taught'' subject at ASI training, however,it is certainly mentioned to students while they are taking the ASI rider course. There is a time and a place for wheelies, the ASI range track is NOT one of them.Riders are taught to allways ride within the capibilities of their machine and ride at their ''own'' capabilities.

Stopping is a ASI training technique, candidates were testing on this procedure while straight-line stopping and stopping in a circle.Proper stopping techniques are also taught to students at the rider course,
Bill
