So the chain can cause the trans to slide out of forward when you give it gas ?
It can be the chain OR the sliding gear dogs slipping against the mating gears and not allowing it to keep engaged. Its NOT always the chain grinding, can be the gears! Most of the ones I repaired included the chain (always replace),slider gear, plus mating gears, sometimes the shift forks if grooved, and ALWAYS replace the circlips, don't reuse. If in doubt a reputable dealer will help you! OPT

Chain a lot of the times is the main problem, but there are needle bearings in the gears that could be worn also. Dogs on gears don't look bad from pics, but if in doubt let a good mechanic look at the trans assembly! OPT

took it to the dealer and just walked into the shop and asked the mechanic to look at it and he said its the dog and fwd gear. I'm going to replace them and the chain.

That's usually what I had to replace! Don't forget the new circlips! OPT

Default Snap ring on drive gear !!!

Now I tore it apart and cant't see any wear on the gears or the dog so I'm going to take it to the dealer and see if they can tell me it has any wear on them. The fork only had slite wear on it not even enough to catch when your run your finger nail across it.

So i think I'm going to head p to my local dealer and see ifthey can tell me whats worn.

There's a snap ring that holds the main drive gear in place , if that snap ring pops of just a little it will cause the grinding in high and kick it out of gear ! Slack in chain and clutch belt can cause this !
