Default rocker arm clearance? sparkplug colors?

Hey all , I took the valve cover off and I see that all my rocker arms are snug up to the valve springs accept for one and it has about 1/8 of a inch, is this normal? also i took the spark plugs and on the threads one looks brand new , but the other looks discolored , what could this be ?

What machine are you referring to? The 300-500's need periodic valve adjustments to .006 at TDC but I don't think any of the twins (at least anything 04-up)require any adjustment to my knowledge. Uncertain about the older twins. The optimal color for your plugs should be faint gold to brown. White and ashy= lean, Dark to black= rich

Just make sure rocker arms are snug, turn engine over, you may find another that is slightly loose, this can and will happen on the hydraulic valve system, just depends on where lifter and push rod is on cam lobe, there will be a little slack. If still have original Champion RC7YC3 plugs, CHUNK EM,replace with NGK BKR7ES plugs! If you are still having trouble with the 800 engine,I would let a dealer help. OPT
