Check the battery connections first, if connections tight could be needing a new battery?? OPT

Check under headlight pod for shorts in ignition switch wiring, speedometer connections, shorts in main wiring harness etc, could be a bare wire or ground problem OPT

if your talking about the solenoid on the frame from the battery, i would test it before you order one as they usually don't go. just turn the key on(not start) and jump the 2 big cables on the solenoid and if the starter starts to turn over then the solenoid is bad and if nothing happens(meaning starter doesnt turn over) then the solenoid is not the issue. imo
