Default 2009 850xp oil in airbox fix out yet?

Good day to everyone. I am sorry I have missed all the threads on this subject. I'm asking agagin because I have this issue, and was wondering if anyone has a fix for it yet? I have always let the machine warm up before use here in the michigan winters. With warm weather I am still getting oil deposits in air filter box. The oil level is now just barely touching above the minimum mark on the dipstick. (I say that because the dealer said I may of had to much oil in the machine) I have never rode wheelies with it. I have about 220 miles on the machine. Polaris obviosly will not stand behind a major problem like this which gets me issed off! Over $7,000 I should not be having this problem. Thans to anyone that can point me in the right direction. Marc

i believe they do i think they call it a baffle anyhow the old one was glued in and the new one has bolts to hold it in, it is what the pcv sits in and i think you need to remove your valve cover to replace it my buddy has the new one i will try get a part number from him tonight

Well after some reseaerch a gentelman named supercoe (I think ) has sugested to remove pcv valve, remove felt filter, lube rubber o-ring gaskets, then work the valve back and forth with a twisting motion while reseating pcv valve, then insert bolts and tighten. I will monitor this to see if it works. I just dont like the thought that all my oil is going into the airbox. Anyone else with any other info for this prblem? any and all help is appreciated. Thanks

I have 9 hours on my 850 XP and the airbox has zero oil. Is everyone having this problem and mine is the odd ball?

You might not have enough hours yet for the problem to rear it's ugly head .

my sons 09 850 has 1700 miles on it and it hasn't had any problems at all with oil in the airbox.

From what I understand the problem was most likely to show itself in cold weather conditions where the PCV was freezing with condensation (condensation is fairly normal in cold climates).

I rode my 850 while hunting late last Nov. in the Colorado mountains, snow and below freezing day after day. It has over 1200 miles so maybe its just some of the valves are a problem, all I have had is dust in the air box.
