I'm sure there's plenty more out there with just as many miles as yours,if there treated decent! Ranchers and farmers are really tough on em down here! EVEN worked on an old Polaris sled for a guy a couple times that he would take to Colorado. He'd let it sit up and I had to clean the carbs.Put it up on jack stands, cleaned the carbs and fresh plugs and fired it up.(think it was a STORM??Can't really remember) NEVER ridden one though, not much use down here! lol OPT

13 full fluid changes ( oil, filter, front diff ,tranny ) Screen never cleaned
2 new spark plugs installed ( no problems just thought they should be changed )
Installed new rear pads ( 3652 miles)
Adjusted valves twice ( 4098 miles , 8932 miles )
Installed new flywheel key
Installed new prop shaft ( u-joints worn 4098 miles)
Installed new clutch buttons ( 4098 miles)
Installed new rear wheel bearing ( 7714 miles )
Installed greaseable u-joints in prop shaft ( 9865 miles)
Installed new ball joints ( 9865 miles )
Installed new front wheel bearing ( 9865 miles )
Plus over that time a few new air filters , pre-filters & fuel filters & greased

Overall it's mostly standard maintenance , motor runs great , carb never been off or touched , never a 4x4 problem , all original cv joints and boots, I could not of asked for a more trustworthy reliable machine fingers crossed for another 10,000 miles .
WOW! That is quite the accomplishment. These machines will last forever if their kept up, like you've did. Even though these Polaris atvs are less then perfect on paper, get them out on the trail and you'll really see and feel the difference. These machines are beasts.

Hey Spdecat I'd be curious as to what sort of riding you do? What sorts of terrain, if you tow or what kinds of loads you generally carry. Is your riding mostly done on relatively smooth maintained trails or gnarly rough and rutted 2 track? Do you see much mud riding or bashing through heavy brush?

Congrats on your mileage milestone. Conscientious maintenance does wonders for pretty much any piece of machinery and will save you big bucks in the long run.
