Before you go adjusting the linkages and idle, or giving it gas while shifting or jerking on it, try giving it a chance to break-in. I wouldn't adjust anything, anyway, on a brand new machine. Put the first 100 miles on it and have your dealer do the first service and make any necessary adjustments after that. You shouldn't leave the dealers lot until you are 100% satisfied with it. If you are start having problems with it once you have gotten it home again, revisit the issue both here and with your dealer.

To the rest of you guys making all these adjustments on a machine with 20 miles on it; Would you do the same with a brand new vehicle with 20 miles on it? I expect you would have it right back at your dealer's driving your loaner that you demanded...

My Xplorer 250 4x4 did that a couple times got stuck in low range while heavy mudding, i let it cool off and it came out of it, i never adjusted a thing it only happened 2 times then as it broke in, it shifted better than when it was new. I wouldn't mess with too much unless it does it allot and then take it to a dealer, you could be messing with it all the time and not getting it quite right and ruining good rides.
