Default overflow tank

ok so my coolant overflow tank i noticed is connected to what im guessing is my air intake. the tank has a hole in it so has to be replaced. is that part like a whole assembly? i see no screws or anything connecting the tank to the air shaft. any tips?

Its a whole assembly on these models, went to separate tanks later on. Its called an inlet tube duct $58 at Cycle Parts Warehouse. I'd try to repair it if you can,Or even had customers rig up there own,or buy the updated bottle and relocated it,but its still $32!! You might try E-bay on this one if you cant repair. Usually they would split at the fitting at the bottom of the tank. OPT

would a bleach bottle work? i know it has to be something with a cap. maybe even clear? i was thinking maybe using some tire to connect it to the tube? the little tank on there is the only thing needing replaced and repairing that is out of the question since it has a gaping hole in it. if i can rig another one and then connect the line to that ill def try it

WHATEVER you rig up, it has to have the return hose to the radiator, plus cap has to be vented! You might want to try something a little smaller and thicker on the bottom than a bleach bottle so the tank elbow (if you plan on reusing it) can screw in and not fall out!!...... Unless the hole is huge you can fix it. Go to any auto parts store and get as plastic gas tank repair kit.

It is a new type of epoxy and it will hold for years.
