If you're wanting to use OEM fluids: Use Polaris AGL gear case fluid for the tranny,Demand Drive Plus Hub fluid for the hubs, ANY TCW3 rated injector oil for the oil tank or you can use a synthetic "smokeless" oil (not really completely smokeless, but better at lubricating)JUST try to stay with the same brand! On grease fittings, just plain old lithium based grease or marine grade grease is fine, 60/40 antifreeze OR any coolant acceptable for aluminum radiators which 99 percent of all vehicles are today! Plus a good grade of chain lube suitable for o-ring chains (ALL 3 chains if awd) Hope this helps. OPT

Good reference list,BUT not necessary to use the VES synthetic injector oil that Polaris pushes! OPT

I have a question on this note... I was told by the guy I bought my 4wheeler from that he was told to use chainwax on the o-ring chain. I've since gone to an x-ring chain(I know it's basically the same thing) and have been using hte chain wax on it until I recently ran out. I picked up a new can and the parts person told me that for offroad to use the synthetic chain lube instead of the chain wax, as the wax is for onroad use ONLY. There's only a dollar differnence in price, but was wondering what is the actual "correct" type of chain lube I should be using on my atv? Is the wax ok? or should I be using a lubricant instead of the "wax"?

We had access in the shop to Belray 6 in1, Silkolene, PJ1,Spectro chain lube and also Maxima chain lube and wax.My preference was either Silkolene or PJ1 chain lubes(PJ1 even states its for o-ring or x ring chains) Chain wax was less messy, but I just didn't like the SMELL and "wax' just sealed the chain(dirt and all if chain wasn't spotless) Have to agree wax may be "ok" for street, but lube was the best off road! Again just my preference! BEST way I think I've seen how to clean a chain was an old guy that had a cycle salvage yard close to where I lived and he cleaned his own dirt bike chain with a street bike starter and sprocket mounted on a board on the counter with a 6 volt battery that would turn it slowly, while the chain slowly turned in a gallon bucket of kerosene! After cleaning, would let it dry, lube it up and ready to go! OPT
