I just when outside and took a quick picture of the snow we still have here in the city to show yous .I have not been back to the cottage since my last ride Jan21 because there is alot more now and it was hard enough going then.

Last year on March 1st the snowmobile trails were all closed and there was more mud than snow on them.It looks like there is still 3 weeks to go before the trails are a free for all for us ATVers around here.

Hey Tim1~
Well, we just got 7-8 inches of heavy, wet snow yesterday. But now it's close to 40 degrees and there's maybe 4 inches left. That's on top of 6-8 inches of crusty, hard snow. Last year at this time, Lacrosse, WI was setting records for temperature! March 6th of last year got up to 82 degrees!!

We still have like 2 feet of snow. The dog gate is 4 feet high, and snow is exactly in he middle (and the dog is outside).
It's melting.
I'm curious to see what the snowmobilers will do when the ice isn't thick enough (50% of the snowmoblie trails are over frozen mudholes)

Here is some photos I took just two days ago of the snow we have here in Maine. Take a look at the photos with the 4 foot fence (photos 4 and 5) in them to get an idea of the snow we have.

Tim1,
Less than 18" now, been in the 40's for a week. High winds today with rain tonight. Trails just starting to thin out. It won't be long.

We still have at least 3 feet or more and have a foot coming tonight, we will probably be grooming the snowmobile trails till the middle of april this year! sucks I even own 2 sleds but would rather be in the mud. Last year we went for our first ride in the first week of april, the groomers were put up. most of our trails are marked groomed sled trails so we cannot ride on them from the time they start grooming till they end.

Well, a week ago we had nearly 2', but with the 40 degree plus temps and rain, it may just be mud this weekend... time to challenge my buddy and his Prairie 300 to a rematch . As the snow goes, so too does my HO's weakness .

Zero, nothing, nada oh wait I see some in the Rockies. We had 2" a long time ago but melted the next day, there was some where we usualy go riding, 6-8" but that's all gone also. It's been around 10-16 degrees celcius lately, nice & warm with the occaisional rain.
Tim, I lived in Northern Ont for 12 years in Rossport, between TerraceBay & Nipigon, 2 hrs east of Thunderbay. I surely don't miss the winters there.

Just the last couple days the sun has been out, and the snow has melted. I'm so excited, wet, slimey, fresh trails just waiting for me. This weekend me and some of my buddies are going out to my farm and having a mud fest. All the water from the snow seeps down into the muddy shorelines of the lake so it should be fun. I may take some pictures just to make you snow covered guys jelouse.(Just Joking)
