Default Starter bendix?

I need a starter bendix for my Sportsman and thought about buying 1 off ebay for $30 but was wondering if they were junk or not. Anybody have any input to pass on?

It has been my experience the cheap aftermarket starter drives are 100% junk. It MIGHT last a while but most do not.

I know the Polaris part is expensive but in this case you need to buy it. Or look for a good used Polaris part.

That's what I was thinking but figured I'd ask.

We stocked some after market ones made in Brazil, cheap made. Sold a few,but had too many problems with em and stopped. People bought em for less than 80 bucks versus about 150 dollars at the time for an oem one. They got what they paid for! OPT
