ok so it came back on today and was wondering could it be the air filter clogged and causing it to run rich?

 

ok so I tinkered with it a bit again (I am thinking this is the thermal sensor) when sitting on the bike the left cover off there is a plug that has 1 wire coming out of it with it plugged in the lights flash with the wire unplugged its fine no lights. is this the thermal sensor? and is it shorted out with that description?

 

and what would happen if I ran it unplugged for a week or so till next check? funny thing is with it plugged in started it ran fine went 400 yards when I hit bumps light would go off then on then off then on is that the only connection is that one about 2-3 inches from the plug? (I didnt mention that I was in a mud puddle and tipped it on its left wheels could that have anything to do with it? and the water splashing up on it but it ran fine that day it wasnt till it sat 2 days that it started with the light flashing) I did notice that when I was going 9around 30 or so) and giving it gas the light was off when I let off the gas is when it started to flash. along with bumps these are the 2 things I noticed

 

What about warranty , your machine is a 2011 would your dealer not fix it up for free ? How many miles on the old girl now . Yes that is your thermal sensor .

 

they told me anything electrical if they see water where I went through water its not covered I have 640~ miles 3 months old ~87 hours at this point same with the stupid idler adjuster they want me to leave it there for up to 3 weeks while they take pics and send them in and wait for Polaris to get back to them and say yea or nae thats the only thing I dislike about dealing with warrenty issues they can be slow no matter what brand you buy

 

I may just say the heck with it and load it up tomorrow and go a couple weeks without it and get it done

 

funny how things work I took it in to the dealer where I bought it and they said that I would have to leave it there they took pics and sent it in I took the quad with me then on Tues I got it in to another dealer closer to me about the HOT CHECK ENGINE light. left it there for them to diagnose it they called me today and said that it was a faulty temp sensor and its covered under the warranty cool that saves me $250-300 for that the spring is only $12 so no sweating that but I got a call from the place I got it from and they are replacing the spring under warranty also woo hoo its been a good day !!!!
now if I can get it all done in the next 2 weeks before vacation parts are ordered just waiting on them to come in
