Unhappy My Poopo is in shop ,feels weird.

Had many toys in my life and never did all repairs myself. Yesterday I drooped my ATV at the Polaris Dealer and it sure feels strange.

Two reason, it has a belt housing seal leak behind the primary clutch and you need a special tool to pull it off and were going on a weekend ride this weekend and I,m to busy at work to deal with it in time.

Its been leaking for awhile but it only did it on long deep water runs, but its been so rainy this season that thats all we seem to run into now. They said its a one hour job @ $80 per Canadian and they will check my clutch buttons also if they need changing.

I just use to prided myself on staying out of those stealerships. LOL

Before I retired I ordered 2 new ones for the shop and brought home the old one I've been using for over 20 years(in case I ever do any neighbor jobs, etc)! Seems like I used it almost on a daily basis and still holding up under countless impacts! Plus a spider tool is worth the cost if you're to maintain your own machine. OPT

I hear you on the Canadian prices......I need to get the pullers also...

I hear a noise behind my belt/clutch now when started in (N) like a small rubbing sound almost like a strand is hanging off the side of the belt, but will stop when put in gear.
I think It time for either a new belt and some secondary buttons maybe if I correct ??

With near 3800 miles something is getting worn......Caper.......

That what I told them, since there already pulling the clutches for the seal leak they might as well look at the buttons even though the machines seems to run fine. Only my hour meter works on the speedo due to a bad wheel sensor, its at 370 hrs I think that works out to be 3700 miles.

I hear ya. It will feel even more weird when you have to pay the bill. Sucks when you have to let someone else fix your stuff. Hope it not too bad and they get it right for you.

Are you back on the road again yet??

I hope it was a minor problem and you wont have to go back for another 10 years.
