Default Wide Tires

Was shopping for tires lately and trying to decide what is the widest tire I could get for an 05' 700 sporty. Is anyone running 27/12/12s all the way around??

Might need wheel spacers for the front, but the backs should be good, I have 11" wide rear tires with lots of room to spare to go wider. 12" would only be 1/2" wider on the ATV side of the tire vs 11s.

Not sure your arms and steering ball joints and other components would like heavy 27" high and 12" wide tires on the front. LOL

Yeah I'm sure accelerated wear would be a factor. I'm running 27/11/14s on the rear right now. The other day just for fun I pulled them off and stuck one on the front. pretty sure I could get away with that if I flipped the tie rod end. But I would really rather have 12in wheels for the taller sidewalls, and better tire selection. I was just curious if someone had tried 12s already. Guess I just need to borrow a wheel from somebody and mock it up to see what I can get away with. Don't really want to run spacers if I can help it.

Yikes man! I've ridden a sportsman with 10" wide up front and the steering felt a little stiff and heavy. I couldn't imagine going to a 12" wide. Especially in rugged terrain.

If you want to go 12 inches wide you will need spacer s in the front. The rear will be fine. I believe anything wider than 10 you will need spacers. I needed them with 10 titan 589, and my buddy has 10 inch wide outlaws and needs spacers.

I am pretty sure they are both 4-3 offset. Not sure which way that is. If it is 4 inches or 3 inches out. I know they are both on itp rims.
