I have a 2000 Scrambler 400 4x2. I bypassed the oiling system and now just mix my own.
My throttle cable is stretched and needs replacing. What cables out there will fit? I dont want to use the OE cable because I dont need the cable for the oil part and because Im cheap and dont want to buy an expensive cable when I can pick up a single for under $20. Just want to know if someone can tell me what would fit.

 

Check bikebandit.com or cheapcycleparts.com they have OEM and aftermarkets.

 

well it going to come from a 500 four stroke of somekind. my 95 xplorer has cable from a 96 sportsman 500. my brother's 2000 scrambler 400 4x4 has a single too. let me look into this a bit.

 

I think you want a 7080709 or a motion pro 10-0090.
but something makes me think we had to crimp an extension on it, or maybe the carb end was different and we had to switch it. can't quite remember, but we got it to work.
