I have an 87 trail boss 250 2x4 and i cleaned the carb but when i pull start it it will start and putt but then shut down and then gas starts running out of the air box... Any ideas? i would greatly appreicate it

 

sounds like the float is stuck open. did you check to make sure the float was working correctly and is set level as well? also it doesn't tame much or a piece of dirt to hols it open. i would suggest taking the carb back off and checking everything carefully to make sure it's put together correctly and 100% clean.
