proper service
#1
this is what i love about proper service and grease fittings (vs the new w/ out any fittings) on the older bikes. as you may read/seen on my other post of the bike i bought i am tearing it mostly apart to go through it and check it over, i have reached the point of cleaning and regreasing the U joints on the front cv shafts and prop shafts and i'll tell you they are full of grease, but they are "NEW" tight w/ zero play on a bike w/ 520 miles. now my 800's had 3 to 400 miles and they had a little play in them (no zerk fittings) form wear. so attention to proper greasing and changing of fluids makes awhole of differnce in how long they machines(pretty much any bike) will last. imo
