In 2011 they moved the rad up and put the winch lower to stop the problem of overheating after going through a mud puddle,I have not had one isue with my 2011 and have been through quite a bit of muddy water!!

The older ones over heat when going through deep muddy water? Goes to show you learn something everyday.

i like the composite oil tank better, doesnt rust, and better suspension anyday
How does aluminium alloy rust? Also the alloy tank is "finned" making the oil tank act as a oil cooler, there are many post of the new pastic oil tanks cracking at the oil line connections.
There 9.5 rear suspension never changed to this day on the sportsman. They just went from 6.7" travel struts to 8.2" up front.

2011 Polaris Sportsman® 500 H.O. ATVs

and the front suspension is much better then before. i know because before my dad got rid of his 04.5 the difference was real. its funny i thought ive seen rusty oil tanks... and mr numbers, numbers arent everything. do you think the rear suspension hasnt been tweaked since 96? if you think that then I'm not very bright

oh and i do agree the radiator is better protected on the 11' models on up. but they lost that tough front end and lost storage space. give for every take.... i also would much rather the display on a newer sportsman then an 01. see i can beat up your pizza too tlc

Once again," Aluminium alloy " can rust? *thinks out it* I don,t care about having a 01 ATV ,its really just a second hobby I have until snow comes.

I love hearing about a 70hp ATV is considered a powerful machine , you should read me on the snowmobile forums.

i know because before my dad got rid of his 04.5
How old are you ?
