How would this set up work on a Duse?
27x12x12 rear and 27x9x12 front blackwater XT tires on polished alluminum ITP magnums.
Will I lose anything(topend-lowend)?
Will it do any damage to cv joint's or any other parts?
On my Dodge, the 36's put a whooping on it
I also put this ? on the tires forum but I need an answer kinda fast.
Thanks

you might need to put a lift kit if so they can cause allot of stress and lift kits are not overly recommended and are not covered under warranty. 26's though Usually do not require a lift and in that case will not cause any more wear and tear than stockers.

Those are the tires I run on my Sportsman. I go through a lot more than I care to think about and I have not broken a single cv joint or axle...yet. I have had the tires for three years, and they not only do great in the mud but they also last a long time (assuming you don't ride on concrete). I still have 3/4 tread left on all tires, never a flat (15-20psi), and they will go through quite a lot. You may need a lift, however.

16 inches to the footrest wow! that is quite alift. I wonder were XT's are not as aggresive or as heavy as say Vamps could help not tear up cv's when lifting a Polaris?

Pathfinder, the skinnier tires in the front definetely help out. Funny thing is, XT's have 6 plys and I think Vamps have 4. But the XT's weigh about 5 pounds less per tire (27x12x12). As far as 16" goes, I have a 2 3/4 collar and a lot of air pressure in the tires, and a little extra somethin' on the top of the spring perch( shock tower). I can't tell, though, I was sworn to secrecy

So the bottem line is:I would need a lift to mount these.Correct?
What size I can go with, without a lift?
I do have those Adjustable progressive springs if that matters.

Progressive springs? Are they adjustable? If so, they may fit. The rear shouldn't be a problem.

If you are afraid of warranty voids from putting on a lift, I have heard of people putting spring rubbers in the coil springs. You can get 'em at Hi-Lo or similar auto parts store. Damn, another secret out the box...

Yes the springs are adjustable.
I dont want to give the dealer ANY reason to jerk me on the warranty,he's a snake.
Not my first choice butI might have to go down a size

I have the same size tires on my 01 sp500 they fit just fine. The only thing you might what to do is put washers behind the front rims because they just barely touch the tie rod ends and also the front tires will rub on the fender when rideing hard over whoops. Its not really a problem.
