Default 08 Sportsman 500 bogging

Greetings all. I have an 08 500 sportsman that was running great. I didn't use it for a couple of months this summer and now I have to use full choke to keep it going while driving. It will run at full throttle without choke, but seems to be starving for fuel. Pulled the filter and it is okay. Cranked it with filter off and fuel pump appears to be working fine. (I didn't check pressure, just put my thumb on it and it had pressure). Ran some fuel treatment thru it but that didn't do anything. I'm thinking that the gas soured and gummed up the carb inside. Any thoughts?

Sitting up will cause the fuel we get today to gel very quickly and stop up jets!Runs only with choke is a sure sign! Probably time to clean the carb, replaced the needle and seat if varnished up(don't just try to clean) fresh fuel and use marine Stabil and you won't have anymore problems like this! Fuel can retain its octane up to two years if you double dose the Stabil and will help remove any water which is the main reason for the crappy fuel we get now!(ethanol) Running treatment through it can cause more damage if too hot a cleaner or too much(Chemtool, Berrymans B12,etc) is used and usually won't solve the problem, carb has to be physically removed and cleaned, plus depending on how old the fuel is I would drain the tank! I had to do this every fall for the hunters and every spring for the pleasure riders that let their machines sit up for even as little as a couple months!,kept me busy OPT
