my new ATV

Not to mention the fact that the issues with the dealer not getting back to him and not being able to replicate the problem have nothing to do with the ATV.
Yoda says "A lousy dealer does not a lousy ATV make."
His understanding of ADC is flawed. I have also never heard of any bruteforce with any ADC equivlent. No other ATV has AWD so to even engage all wheels involves visco or whatever so it's not even possible to have 4 wheels slowing like he states.
"You have all 4 wheel engine braking" on the brute force is technically what he says.
Engine braking is at the clutch, not the wheels and the polaris has that already. ADC is made specially for extreme terrain which you don't do at 17mph unless you are Speta
It is in addition to the EBS not in lieu of it.
I would be more pissed about the EPS failing than the ADC personally as it really isn't that helpful to the masses.

I'd also like to mention that he dealer response was **** poor and I would be very unsatisfied with that as well.

Any 4wd atv that has engine braking and has the 4wd drive engaged will have 4wheel engine braking. The brute force included. The other brands don't need adc because of how their 4wd system works. I will take the polaris over other brands despite the adc. I have two xps and I do like it but don't feel like it is necessary to have.

Howdy Specta.......ADC, hmmm, sounds like it may be a common gremlin within the ADC system......was Polaris ever contacted about the problems of the ADC saga?......and I wonder if Polaris follows any ATV forums for any feedback and such.....they apparently didn't read your thread......NoJoke

Just read this entire thread between last night and today
. Very interesting and a nice documentation on the polaris. Seems very unbiased to me.
I have always been a honda guy. My dad bought me a Honda Foreman 400 4x4 for my birthday in 2000 and it has over 8100 miles on it and over 900 hours now. Its been nothing short of fantastic. I am out on my own now and while I can use the honda anytime I want, I decided to buy my own. At the moment I have an old 93 Suzuki Quadrunner 250 that I just finished rebuilding. I bought it blown up. It needs a little cosmetic work still, but is running great. One thing that amazes me with the little suzuki is the features. Even being fairly old and small in CC for todays standards, it has IRS (although primitive), high, low and superlow ranges, as well as 2wd, 4wd, and 4wd with diff lock to choose from. To be honest the main thing I think honda lacks is a front differential lock. Although the foreman 99% of the time went anywhere i wanted it to, there were a few times when I really would have liked to have had diff lock and selectable 4wd (which honda now has).
I have never really been much on Polaris, but I enjoy reading reviews and things like that. My uncle has a newer 500 H.O. and he really likes it, but has already had to replace the computer and a couple other things on it, which would not thrill me on such a new machine.
If I were buying new today, i think I would be looking at the suzuki King Quad 500 or 750, a Honda Foreman 500 S model, or a grizzly 550 or 750. Arctic Cat has caught my eye, but I am still getting mixed feelings on them and Its just my opinion that Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki And Yamaha are the best of the best with ATV's.
Polaris' have always been a 4 wheeler I was curious about and would own one if I found a good deal used, but dont think there is any way I could talk myself into a new one.
Specta, if you were to have to go buy something new today with your own money. What brand and model do you think you would go with? Would polaris be in your list of dealers to visit or is it still something you are a little leary of getting far from the campsite on? What about before you had started this testing?
I wont be buying anything new for a long time, so its just a theoretical question (a guy can dream, right?), but I just wondered what kind of opinion you had of polaris before and after(or during, i should say) this test.
Sorry for the long winded response. Its hardly anything in comparison to the time I spent reading this 56 page test though

I found my 500 Polaris to be extremely reliably it was a fantastic machine . In my case regular maintenance was all that was needed to give me 4 years of enjoyable riding . My carb was never off it had the original starter ( needed one bendix ) and that oil screen was never removed or cleaned it was a rock solid machine . Sure it needed brakes & wheel bearing but that's part of the high mile life style that it enjoyed . The machine surpassed my expectations it will be missed .

21,000 miles? Thats impressive for sure. Kinda goes to show that a little maintenance and common sense will allow them all to last well. If you ride like you want something to last a while, then it usually will.
Just out of curiosity, how many belts did you go through?

That's km's it's only 13,200 miles give or take . Belts I changed them around 5000 miles not because I needed to but just to play it safe . So I never broke a belt I never had a belt issue but I did carry a spare .
