Default 60" Side wing (Pics)

Last winter I got an idea in my head to somehow mount a side wing to help "wing" back the snow back plowing the drive and yard. I use it for plowing an acreage. So this fall I found a cheap 60" Cycle Country steel blade and did some simple fab work. Heres what it looks like so far:

This is how I mounted it the braw bar to get it pivot up and down, Im gonna add a winch to the back rack to raise and lower the wing.

I used a ball and coupler on the front of the wing to allow it both pivot and lift.

I used and piece of rectangle tubing and bolted it across the push tubes of the front blade and attached the ball to the end of that, that way when i lift the front blade the front corner of the wing will also lift.

Wow. That would do my whole driveway in one pass.

wow is right . that is a first for me, but looks like a great idea if it works. the only thing is i see as it might be too much snow to push for traction wise as the wing will want to push you sideways. but either way that is a great idea w/ some good looking work. good luck and let us know how it worked out.

That is serious fabrication. Looks like a county highway truck now. I predict a lot of involuntery right turns when the snow gets heavy. Love it.
