2002 Polaris Trailblazer
#1
Hello,
I may be trading an older Honda snowblower for a 2002 Polaris Trailblazer 250. Are these good machines? The guy said it's in great shape, just needs back brakes and a new pull starter.
Also, are there any performance mods that can be done to these machines and what do I need to look out for?
Thank you,
IronBear

Just depends, does it run? Is electric start out too?? Depends on how its been treated, just like how you treated the Honda snow blower! They are the simplest of Polaris atv's and the little 250 will run for years if maintained properly. Electric starters are hard to get to(at the bottom of the engine) and all will eventually need at least piston and rings after awhile(don't last as long as 4-stroke engines) Just check it out and if possible check compression before you trade. You can do several mods to em from clutching, etc but they are not fire breathers to start out with. But can be fun and worth the trade! OPT

Thanks Polaris Tech!
The machine has a new battery and the electric starter works flawlessly (according to the owner).
What should the compression be on this engine? I'm thinking it would be a good spare quad for my better half's nephew.
