Angry Scrambler rear shocks not all alike?

I have a 01 scrambler that has a nice fox shock that is in great shape and I wanted to put it on my 06 because it has the stock style shock, turns out the mounting point on the swingarm is 108 degrees off on the 06 compared to the 01, I noticed this after I had both shocks off and laid them side by side and one was about 2" shorter than the other. I ended up using a heavier spring from an old magnum and put a spacer under it so it won't sag so much until I can get another shock bought. I was looking at the parts catalog and it would apear that 06 was an odd year for the scrambler as far as the rear end goes. I thought about swapping swingarms, but that's a lot of extra work.
