Default More power out of Sportsman 500

Need some more info on some things I can do to my 500. Not worried about top end power looking for more low end power. Any one have good results with anything? Thanks

I always thought my 500 scrambler was a dog, I put a DG slip on pipe on it, dynojet kit, K&N filter, reworked the drive clutch, whole different animal now. You are probably fuel injected with an '11 machine, so the dynojet kit won't help you much. I have a buddy we ride with who bought an '11 550 sportsman and thought he could take me drag racing...he thought wrong. I'll take him out in mud, sand or dry ground, 2x4 or 4x4.

can change spring in primary clutch, they come with a blue, change to white fo a little more bottom or buy a green for alot more, everything you gain on bottom you will lose on top, the green will probably cost you 5-7 mph, springs are only like $20 at dealer

My 07 is EFI and I installed a Dobeck programmer and a hot seat performance slip on. The power gains and throttle response on the bottom end were very noticeable but not earth shattering. Didn't notice any difference on top end. A clutch kit or just the primary spring will probably be your biggest bang for your buck.

I don't have efi though but might Try a spring or two. Where is the best place to get springs from? Are you running a Polaris spring or another brand? Think a friend told me Kawasaki spring are the same as Polaris springs. Not sure though

I had a green polaris spring in mine for awhile, it gets alittle scary in the boulder piles, clutch engages at a higher rpm and would pick the wheels up when you really didnt want to, I changed it back cause my daughter started riding it, the springs I have are polaris

Do you get them from the dealer or online? I have been looking with not much luck.
