Default New Year Traditions

Have a safe and happy New Year! Don't know what kind of "superstitious" food you guys in the northern or other parts of the country may or may not have, but down here we HAVE to eat black eyed peas on New Years day for good luck for the coming year! OPT

We have a group here that get together every New Years Day and ride. Weather doesn't matter much. This year it was 2 degrees with 20+ mph winds. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 31 and sunny. Can't think of a better way to start out the new year. Everyone gets to try out all the new Christmas stuff. Grip warmers, winches, tires, ect.

Happy new year to all of you!! I normally spend new years day recovering from the night before and getting rested up for the return to work from the winter shutdown. Sometime late morning or early afternoon I might head out to the shop after I put some wood in the outdoor burner and see what kind of project I can work on for the day.

I made some noise and found out 640 firecrackers going off at one time is loud.

Went out New Years for Chinese food with church family, and had Chinese food yesterday at my house with immediate family. Nice weekend.

New Years to me is just another day.

When I lived in the city a small group went riding out to an area called 5-Mile Pass every New Years Day.

I still ride New Years Day just not with a group.
