I need some help!!! I have a polaris sportsman 500 and I purchased a superwinch a couple of days ago and i am currently in the process of mounting it. There was a small mounting plate that came with it but it doesn't look like it is gonna mount inside the winch spot. Is there a different mounting plate I should purchase?

 

yes. go buy a mounting plate for that year and size bike and it will be an easy install for you.

 

I know on my 2011 I had to cut out a part of the front plastic bumper to fit it in there have you cut that out yet?

I ordered a mounting plate to see if that will help. I do know what piece you had to cut off though, that'll be the next thing I do if the plate don't work lol.

 

The hard work was getting all the plastic off of it, I built a plate and its worked well for like 3 years now, Buy the plate for it and its easy.
