I helped my buddy adamnieman put on his RCR kit and I was amazed. I'm gonna put his stock scrambler pipe on my Xplorer and add a 260 jet and boysen pro reeds to my machine. After seeing the wheelies he can pull, I was wondering if anyone out there can recomend a good clutch spring and the best place to buy it from.

'98 Xplorer400, K&N, and soon to come...pro reeds

First you'll need to know where the Scrambler pipe makes it's HP at shoot for that, which is why a tach is so important to tuning a CVT.

People don't seem to understand a simple spring swap usually won't do anything for them? In short the primary spring controls engagement and RPM's. The flywheights determine how fast you get there. Going to a different spring that is not matched to YOUR specific motor and it's mods will through it off the power band. IE: if you bike makes it peak HP at 4000 and you add a spring that allows it to rev up to 4500 your off the pipe, your CVT isn't functioning effectively and your overrevving your motor.

But, to answer your question you should use the OE one from the Scrambler, if it isn't the same as teh one you have in the Xplorer.
