i found that mirrors on mine simply caught mud...ended up not being very useful...the tires stick out too far i guess.

I made this hitch a few years ago...modeled after MJ's..

If I remember correctly I think I bought an 18" piece of standard 2in. receiver tube, then cut to size, and the sides are just 3/16" steel...I think the front mounting bar is 1/4"..Grade 8 bolts...

Default Custom Rear Winch for Sportsman X2 500
Final 1/4 inch steel bracket



Distribution Solenoid Box - Was inside the hard wired hand control. This is what was left after I took it out of the hand set.



All Mounted Up, Top view



Rear view



I will still have to cut 1/4 inch of the X bracket in the back so it doesn't rub and gives me more room from a side to side perspective.
