2000 Model Availability: More Information
#1
There have been a few threads recently seeking information on the 2000 models. Although I have no new information about particular offerings, a dealer rep told me yesterday that Polaris is holding their annual dealer convention and new model rollout in Las Vegas on August 8th. The 2000 models will be shipping shortly thereafter. We don't know WHAT Polaris will be offering, but at least now we know WHEN they will be available.

Now I don't know what to think!
I was in Birmingham, AL today at the annual hunting jamboree and exhibition at the Civic Center. A dealer from Pelham, AL informed me that Polaris will not hold the Las Vagas show this year. He also produced an inventory list from his hip pocket that showed him with at least 8 of Polaris' 2000 models already in stock. ????
For those of you like me who are waiting for a 2000 model AND the fall incentive program, the dealer believed Polaris would announce the incentive program within the next 2 weeks.
Polaris owners, you would have been proud. Polaris was the only manufacturer with a factory exhibit at the hunting jamboree this year. The Japanese manufacturers did not appear. Polaris had every quad they make at the show, and had an obstacle track set up with railroad crossties and a Sportsman climbing over them during the entire show. It was a great exhibit, and I enjoyed talking to the factory guys.
By the way, the factory guys wouldn't come right out an say it, but they hinted strongly that the incentive program for Fall, 1999 would be the same as last year.....$250 in free accessories. Nobody indicated that the free winch plan would return for the fall.
