Default 1995 Xplorer 400 4x4 Carb kit

What would be the best carb rebuild kit for a 1995 Xplorer 400 4x4? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks...

All of them are pretty close, but seems like Moose gives you all the parts you will need. Plus usually spot on the exact size jets you have in your carb. Have used them along with several other kits,Sudco kits are pretty good too. OPT

I just put a Moose kit in it today and the darn thing is still spitting gas through the overflow.

I had a leftover kit from a Polaris Indy 500 I put in it after and it ran great at idle but starved for fuel once you punched the throttle. At least it didn't spit gas through the overflow so I figured the Moose kit is no good...

Did you set the float arm height?? Plus you could have a worn float arm and float arm pin that could be causing the problems. If the float arm is wobbly back and forth,it can stick. Most people never change these two parts out and doesn't come with all the the kits. Never had a problem with Moose kits. OPT

I did set the float arm level with the bowl.

I also noticed some wobble in the arm and pin. I'm betting you are right and this is causing my overflow problem. I will take it appart tomorrow and replace the arm and pin. Got a few carbs from a Indy 500 that may have good usable parts.

Thanks, opt! Will let you know how I make out. Much appreciated!

The part number for the float arm in my Indy was #3130018, same as the one in my Xplorer so I switched them over and she's running like a top again. You are the man, opt! Thanks again...

Well it looks like the carb isn't the only problem I have with the old girl.

Took her out for a spin on the weekend and she started spiting through the float overflow and flooding in the case real bad. I made it back home and decided to check/open the drain plugs to have a look see. Sure enough gas came out of the crank plug and counterbalancer oil came out pull cord side plug.

I think I may have a few bad crank seals.
