Default 2003 sportsman 700

I am looking at buying a 2003 sportsman. It doesn't get spark. What is usually the problem? What is a good repair Manuel? Lastly, how much should I pay for the sportsman?

Loss of spark was a major problem on the early 600 and 700 model Sportsmans (2002-to early 2004) because of the Ducati ignition system. Kit #2202603 consists of a new Kokusan flywheel, stator, cdi, reg/rectifier,wire jumpers and instructions. Cost is a little over $500 (check Cycle Parts Warehouse) plus labor to install it unless you do it yourself. They are pretty dependable after you have this done. Factor in the cost for the updated kit plus labor when you make the owner an offer if you're still interested. OPT
