400HO (455cc) crank plug drain location? (Pics enclosed.)

Thanks again OPT. No worse than not starting a vehicle for a week at a time then.

so, do I leave the remote tank plug out while I run it for 10 seconds to drain the crank?

Yes so the oil in the sump will drain into and out of the remote tank! OPT

Might be the angle of the picture,but looks like your sump plug is a lot easier to get to than most..You can do it either way. Drain the sump or just let it drain through the remote tank. Choice is yours.

The hole in the skid plate is big enough that I can put it in through the bottom, then use another finger from above to direct it in.

Yea in the good old days before RA hit me I had good finger dexterity also.. Recovering from thumb surgery in October,still don't have full feeling back in it yet.Would hate to try to get a sump plug out,let alone back in again..

Yeah, i hear you on arthritus, got osteo hitting me in a few places.

I reslly love the dry sump system. Really hope the Prostar engines are as durable.
