well today it stoped raining. so me and my freind went riding. and scince the machine is already broke in we decidid to go head on in different types of races.
first race, drag race. the trail boss was quick off the starting line and built speed up fast. it was infront till i got a little into 4th gear, then i keep going building up speed wizzing by him.
second race, well not race but jumping competition. the shocks on the trail boss are incredable compard to the ones on my rancher. not once did they bottom out on the trail boss.
third race, mud pit. we raced to see who got to the end of the mud pit first, and well my freind caught the other end of the roost. rancher won.
pretty much the trail boss is a great machine(considering it's a 250) and so far my freind is happy as can be with it. and i'm very impresed with the performance, the ride is great, even when the speed gets high. it also goes to show that polaris makes a good machine.

Is your rancher a 2wd or 4wd??
My dad loves Honda machines, but may be swaying to a Polaris due to the better ride is easier on his back. He has driven Hondas forever, and for his style of driving, they have been very good to him, he just can't take the bouncing he used to. Maybe he will just try going one gear slower.
Good review. Honest comparisons, no matter who wins what contest are always a ray of light for those of us who can't drive everything.

i have a 2x4 rancher. also if your dad was considering a polaris it has a much smother ride than the hondas. and they have good power to. but most polaris atv's are not speed demons, but for work and trail ridding there plenty fast. if your dad got one he would be happy, there just as reliable as any other brand as long as you make sure you take care of it.
