you cant

No matter who, everyone is slightly partial to one company, no matter how minute, the difference is there. I just completely gave up on tests, if i think soemthing looks cool, i ask for a test ride, tehn i make my own decision.

it is hard to find anybody or any magazines that are not biased in someway. To bad an independent company like Consumer Reports would not do tests on ATV's.

I have found that http://www.epinions.com/ is and EXCELLENT place for reviews on quads or about anything else. Also, you can make money for writing reviews, I made 22 bucks just from 2 reviews!

The best reviews are at your local riding area. Talk to the people there that ride these machines. They are not influenced by manufacturer pay offs.

Out of the magazines, I think ATV Magazine gives up front factual reports. There's nothing that beats riding 'em for yourself first thou.

One of the best places is a forum such as this one. Just ask which models you want compared, and the answers will come pouring in. Some are biased, but if you read carefully, you can screen out a lot of the fluff. Also, you can get a feel for how fair people are by reading some of their past posts.

to add something to Farmer123 if the atv's are different brands post the same question in both company fourms because in a yamaha fourm there may be a bias to Yamahas etc. etc.

You certainly won't find any honest reviews of anything here. Just look around and you'll see the insipid little children proclaiming they can go 70 mph on their Polaris Diesel's or something similar. I find the Polaris owners to be the worst. They seem to think their quads are the greatest thing since sliced bread.

No thanks, they're junk, they've always been junk and they will continue to be junk until Polaris wakes up and designs/builds a reliable quad without all the little gadgets and crap that breaks constantly. Oh yeah, for those of you out there that bought Polaris' and proclaim they are reliable, save it, we're here to listen to the truth not your lies.

Junk Junk Junk JUNK.

Now...

Kids, try to form a complete, coherent setence with proper grammar and sentence structure when you attempt to reply. At least try to give the appearance you aren't inbred.

Here's some minor proof that in fact Polaris' are junk and dangerous:
