This is my last post here. I'm tired of hearing about it myself. I don't think the problem is Polaris' fault. Seems to me your dealer should take care of it. If not, let then fix all the problems then sell the stupid thing and go buy a Honda! I had a problem with my 500 where the oil drain plug stripped out. I told them it was probably my fault but Polaris paid for it anyway under warranty, just because of good customer service. I've had 4 Polaris quads so far as far back as a '93 and NO quality problems from ANY of them! I love my 500 and will buy another Polaris when the time comes. (Unless Honda comes out with a 2wd option quad)

I think as long as Polaris was fixing anything wrong with it under warranty then they are doing their part. If you don't like it, sell it!

This is getting OLD. But you know, Bill you are starting to preach to the choir. I suggest you preach to your lawyer or your dealer. That's how it works. If your car breaks do you call the car manufacturer or the dealer??? It seem that you and your dealer are at odds for some reason that only you know. Take it to court. Have you done something to your quad to void the warranty? Did you ride it into a lake? It almost sounds like something strange like this has happened and your are trying to blame everyone else for "your" probem. None of us are having problems and I doubt that we will. Some of our machines are '95's and we don't have any problems yet. I usppose you will be suggesting that we have a Y2K bug next.

But, don't go suggesting that something is going to happen to our quads. Only you know what you did to yours and you haven't related that to use yet. Whatever it was obviously voided the warranty. How long did it actually sit in the lake?

Willie and Jack,If my posts are getting old and you two guys are tired of seeing them, than I suggest that the next time you's see a posting with my name attached to it,JUST DONT READ IT.Jack, its obvious that you sure as hell did'nt read my earlier posting about me maintaining my 4x4 or you would'nt respond with such childish statements asking what Lake I sank the quad in and my problems are my fault.[HOW CHILDISH].Im happy that you guys are ok with your Polaris quads,I personally know many that are happy as well.I went to an Attorney today, and soon I hope to become a happy Sportman owner again. As I've earlier stated, I personally beleive the Sportsman to be at the top of the 4x4 list in most 4x4 catagories,I just got a rare Lemon, and after today I think the dealer will be Forced to make it right with me. LATER and HAPPY TRAILING----BILL

Bill; Hope you are able to get some satisfaction and get back on our side. I see that you would be a great asset to us on the Polaris team . You certainly are determined sounds like you are headed in the right direction. Good luck with the legal action.

You stupid fools that keep saying how the Sportsman problems are Bill's fault obviously haven't been around long enough to know that he takes care of his machine. He has been posting for quite a while, and I have been on here for over a year now. I can remember a time when Bill Ciliberti would post to brag on how much he loved his sportsman and how great it rode, handled terrain, and how he wasn't too lazy to do all the maintenance that comes with owning a sportsman. To be honest, it shocked me when he said that he would never own another Polaris. This coming from a guy that used to be one of the biggest Polaris supporters on the forum. I understand his reasoning though. Once you get burned good, you are burned for life. Bill got the shaft from his dealer, and then the higher authority (Polaris Industries) would do absolutely nothing to back their so called King of the 4x4's. Here's why I wouldn't get a Polaris. Its like going to Vegas. You have a chance to win, but another good chance of losing your ***. They are both fun for a while, but they can both be costly. Bill took care of his bike, it wasn't in his hands whether it was a piece of crap or not. He has every right to speak his mind. If my Arctic Cat had problems like that, you can bet I'd be cussing it night and day, and recommending everyone I saw not to get one. I'm not loyal to brands, just to myself. If I like it, I get it. If its crap, I realize it. It seems as if everyone with a Polaris quad has this jittery security complex about the Polaris reliability factor. Its like they got brainwashed to worship Polaris at the time of sale. Do they show you some David Koresh like video or something? That and they can't stand the thought that they might have paid good money for something that might turn out to be a waste 3 years down the line. Yes, I realize that most Polaris bikes are great, but they have far too many that leave the factory as born losers.

Andy, thanks for the excellant support. You and I know that I was a very big supporter of Polaris until this crap happened.Even though through legal steps I beleive everything will be ok in the end,it's still going to be tough forgeting this mess.CornCob,on the good side of the Sportsman[and there are alot of good ones out there] I personally have not road a 4x4 with as much comfort as the Sportsman,I know this sounds like Im bragging, but I've never been outdone in the mud yet either by any make or model 4x4 quad.Alot of folks dont care for the AWD on Polaris, mine worked flawless and I like power to all 4 wheels instead of 3 like on limited slip models. The Sportsman is one of the best in the mud, maybe it might be the best.I was in the hilly part of Michigan trails earlier this yr with some of my friends from Detroit Mich,we come upon a MONSTROUS loose packed hill. There was a 99 4x4 King Quad,a 97 4x4 King Quad,a 99 4x4 450s,a 99 250cc 2wd Susuki, and a 99 Polaris 250cc 2wd Trailblazier.I was the first to attempt this monster of a hill, man, this hill was SO winding and loose packed,I was'nt sure the beast would conquer it.I dropped the beast in low, cranked on the throttle,and,UP-UP-UP I GO,ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP.I swear to you guys I was the only one out of EVERY quad mentioned to make it completly to the top and over that hill.My buddies were calling me THE KING OF THE HILL ,for the entire wk end. What a rush to be the only one to make that. The King Quads simply did'nt have the wheel speed it took to get them to the top,in fact, the two stroke Polaris made it further than the KQs did.I think maybe the Honda 450s would of made it with some better tires. He was running stock,I had the GoodYear Mud Runners on the beast.I really like the 4x4 and cant wait to get things back on track.EVERYONE--HAVE A SUPER DAY and A GREAT WEEKEND -----BILL

I would never take the time to read all of your posts, that's for sure. The only one acting childish is you with your constant whining. You should have dealt with your dealer and attorney FIRST. Anyone who tries to contact any manufacturer is just not thinking clearly if they expext them to fix the problem. The system does not work like that.

Oh yeah Andy . . . we are not stupid fools as you indicate, only making statements that you may disagree with. By your comments it's easy to see who the fools are . . . the rest of us are having fun. Get a real life.
