AMEN BROTHERS!!!!!!!!!! I have tried to understand Bills problems but enough is enough every where I look on here be it the artic cat post or some other post HERES Bill with that same old tired story My quad wont run ,my dealer sucks and so does the manufacturer cause they want GIVE me a new one. Well Bill go to the Yamaha post look under "My Grizzly the final chapter" thats what you should do . This guy has it figured out. He,s got a lemon and he is getting rid of it BEFORE it turns into a money pit. (little late for yours). But you can still get rid of it myself I would have taken your dealers offer to sell your old one and bought the new one be it a Polaris or something else. Yes you would have lost money on the deal no it would not have been very gratifying but sometimes lifes not fair I know I have had my share of Farm equipment that was junk when I drove it off the lot.Fortunatly for us Farmers we can put our junk on auctions every year and let some poor unsuspecting soul buy our problems not so in the atv world. I guess you have figured out by now that you are rattling some peoples nerves here I think I counted 3 today. Please go buy that 500 cat sell that boat anchor sportsman and QUIT RUINING MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!! Whew that feels so much better....

i also got a polaris lemon. i bought a 99 scrambler 400 that was a problem from day one. when i first got it i ran for 1 day and it burnt a hole in the piston. they put a new piston in. 2 weeks later head gasket blew and engine got so hot the pressed in plugs on the case fell out. new piston again wow. then the thing knocked and would sieze up after a 200 yard run and start right up again. finally at 8 months the cylinder Broke off the case taking part of it two. NO WARRANTY AFTER 6 MONTHS. LEMON. i have now purchased an hpd engine that runs great but when i looked at my old engine on my garage floor it had a big glob of jb weld covering something. WHERE DID IT COME FROM? seeley lake polaris or polaris factory. i think the whole thing sucks including polaris.

Dave and PeeWee,I have an appointment with an attorney this wk to explain my problems.PeeWee,sorry about all your problems as well, some of these people in here just dont get it.NOBODY,was a bigger Polaris fan than I,and you did'nt dare bash Polaris without getting a response from me,[just ask Gordon Banks].But that was then, this is NOW.I will win in the end, cause im not a quitter like some people suggest I do.I just cant wait to hear from one of these Polaris lovers when it happens to them.LATER and GOOD DAY -----BILL

Bill it almost sound like your bike has been sunk in a big puddle. I have heard of some of your problems before except the blowing smoke. Most of the time it came from owner abuse. You have too many different systems going bad at the same time the odds of you getting all the bad units on the same bike are really high. I have burned up 4 belts on my 99 500 SCR but I know all of them were my fault. By the way the belt that HPD sells is great it is the same belt that goes in the 6 wheeled Ranger. Bill what type of riding or work did you do with your quad.

Losi,in Michigan where I live ,I belong to an ATV club called the QUAD FATHERS ATV CLUB.[IM ITALIAN]We get together often throughout the entire yr and ride the many hundreds of miles of connecting trails that Michigan has to offer.About 95% of our riding consist of trails and some awsume hills.I snow plow with mine as well in the winter, and have been known to enjoy some mud on occassions too.Maintance has NEVER been a problem for me,as in my younger days I was a Michigan Master Automobile Mechanic. So I personally know the importance of regular maintance.Does 5 Oil changes and filter changes--grease jobs in 850 miles of quad use sound like owner neglect to you?Does completely removing all 4 tires from your quad after a mudding event and washing and air drying your brakes sound like owner abuse?Does me Never putting up my quad with so much as DUST on it sound like owner abuse?I even Armor All the Plastic.I have'nt even mentioned the 3 times I've changed the front and rear Diff fluid,or the 3 times I've changed the hubs oil.I could go on and on about my exceptional record of maintance, but I wont waste my time boring you any further.Losi,I ride with 2 other Sportsman owners with about the same miles on our quads and we pretty much ride the same terrain with NO problems to their 4x4s.Still wanna call it owner neglect?I think not.If my problems were owner neglect,my other two friends with Sportmans would be having the same problems and they dont.Get my point yet? Good Day, BILL
