Default random cutout

my polaris 500 ho x2 randomly cuts out. just started happening, machine is a 2006 with low hours on it. at first i thought maybe it was bad gas, but now i'm thinking electrical, because the panel goes blank. it will then start and might cut out at any time. the other day it actually backfired, never had that happen before. i notice the tack needlel looks like it has slight movement when i move the key. im thinking short possible, but not sure where to start looking. any insight would be appreciated

In the front storage area is a rubber cover. under the cover is a fues block with 4 fuses. check all 4 that there pushed all the way into the block. I have a 08 700 x2 and had this going on also and with just resetting the very right fuse (looking front to back) fixed the issue. this is the main fues for the ATV. FYI the fues holder showed some heat damage but still works fine.
