Default K&N oil for UNI filter?

So heres the deal. my sportsman 500 has a UNI foam filter, but i couldn't find UNI oil or cleaner anywhere but online. The dealer only had K&N recharge kits, and they said it should work for my UNI filter. my question is will K&N air filter oil do the trick or not?

Clean the UNI with liquid soap and water and let it dry. K&N is meant for a gauze type filter, but K& N is better than no oil at all. Wouldn't be surprised if it was actually close to UNI air filter oil,but only red tinted. Just don't drown the filter in oil. Coat it thoroughly and lightly massage oil in. OPT

You shouldn't have a problem with K&N. I have UNI if you need some.

can i use the K&N cleaner to clean it? that scares me when you say "K&N is better than no il at all", will it still work as good as UNI oil?
