Now I can see it,but the exhaust leak is so loud(and I'm half deaf by the way) that's basically all I could hear. The chain looks ok as far as I could see.Just place the machine in neutral, engine off and slowly roll the rear tires and try to hear any bearing noise from the rear housing. Also pull the tire up and down, back and forth to see if you have any axle play at the rear housing along with slowly checking the front and rear sprocket. You do need some new exhaust donuts! OPT

Try greasing this dry sounding chain! Plus look care fully at the the sprocket teeth and make sure the chain guide is not the noise maker also. Thought I heard a "pinging/crunching" type noise either from the chain or rear end. Remove the chain master link and let the chain hang loose and see if you can pin point any bearing "crunch" noise from the axle housing by turning the rear wheels slowly. If no noise, then it could just be the dry chain or a frozen link. Plus check for any noise around the brake caliper and pads. You can tell a lot more on the rear end with the chain hanging loose to help track down any noise you're hearing.. OPT
