Use a good quality chain lube!Your chain still looks dry around the plates! Belray,Maxima, etc that's good for o-ring chains. HARD to tell, but looks like you have a standard chain and not an o-ring chain? Previous owner may have gone cheap a on a chain?Just take a screw driver and tap the open ends of the master link clip enough to be able to remove it. Remove the plate and Don't lose the 4 o-rings(if it's an o-ring)! To replace the master link you need a narrow pliers to compress the plates and o-rings enough to pop the clip back on. Make sure the closed end of the clip faces toward the FRONT of the atv.On the video looks like the clip is on backwards!!! Start the clip on and use needle nose or a small pliers to snap the clip back on. NOW let the chain drop out of the way when you remove the mater link and then turn the rear wheels. If you hear any crunching, pinging, popping, from the rear housing you need to replace the axle housing bearings and seals. If you don't hear any noise then replace that damn NOISY chain! You can tell that a chain is worn out by bending it side to side. If you have a lot of slack or play side to side or stiff links, the chain is worn out,a new or good one is very stiff side to side!! Make sure you replace it with an o-ring chain only!! It's a #520 o-ring chain (78 links I think) and most shops can cut it to length for you. Just take your old one in to make sure. I cut dozens and dozens of chains to length. OPT

Couldn't see any orings in the chain either.
If you have time to order one online, I got a complete sprocket and chain set up from sledpartsguy over on ebay at a good price. If you're going to replace the chain, I'd do the sprockets too.

Looks good as any, plus the price is good for the set if the chain is decent quality(should be) The description matches what your atv has stock: 11 tooth front sprocket,40 tooth rear sprocket and 78 link chain. OPT
